A hormonal imbalance can cause a health condition like high blood pressure. In the same way, a health condition, like suffering from insomnia, can cause a hormonal imbalance.
You could have a HPA Axis dysfunction, which affects all the hormones in your body. It is caused by mental, emotional, or physical stress, poor diet, environmental toxins, contraceptive pills, medications' side effects, pregnancy and even the auto immune system.
The important thing is that you understand you can do several things to help yourself get out of this loop. Take a food sensitivity test to identify which foods you should avoid. Detox your body and home from harmful toxins. Develop a meditation practice and eat organic, non-GMO foods. Avoid all processed foods and sugar (including artificial sweeteners). Remember that fruits and vegetables already have sugar. Adding refined sugar, like that found in juice and sodas to your diet, does not help.
